"projectDescription": "NOAA's Restoration Center partnered with Save the Bay and Restore America's Estuaries to fund a feasibility study to examine fish passage alternatives at Omega Pond Dam, Hunts Mill Dam, and the Turner Reservoir Dam on Ten Mile River. Ten Mile River, which originates in Massachusetts and drains into Narragansett Bay in East Providence, Rhode Island, once supported an historic fish run. The construction of dams on the river over the last 200 years now prevents fish passage to upstream spawning habitats, including 7.5 river miles, 33 acre Omega Pond, and 266 acre Turner Reservoir.",
