  "projectDescription": "In an effort to restore habitat for ESA listed Coho salmon and steelhead, a culvert was removed and replaced with a bridge on Bridge Creek, California, a tributary to South Branch North Fork Navarro River, in northern Mendocino County, California. Due to storm damage, the potential failure of the fill material at the watercourse crossing over Bridge Creek presented the possibility of 4000 cubic yards of sediment entering the South Branch North Fork Navarro River.  To avoid this, a culvert on Bridge Creek was replaced with a bridge, which allowed for the unimpeded passage of adult and juvenile salmonid migrations.  Four miles of spawning and rearing habitat for coho salmon and steelhead trout upstream of the proposed bridge site were opened through this effort.",
