  "projectDescription": "The Art Flick Chapter of Trout Unlimited, in partnership with the FishAmerica Foundation and the NOAA Restoration Center, provided fish passage along the Carmans River at the Hard's Lake Dam with the installation of a fish ladder.  The fishway provided acess to an additional 30 acres of spawning habitat at Hards Lake and allows fish an opportunity to migrate two miles up the Carmans River. The target species were anadromous fish such as alewife, blueback herring and American Shad. The Carmans River has a unique population of sea run brook trout that were also targeted species of the fish passage project.",
