  "projectDescription": "The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, in partnership with the FishAmerica Foundation and the NOAA Restoration Center, engages the public in oyster resource enhancement through their established South Carolina Oyster Restoration and Enhancement (SCORE) program. This project on Boone Hall Creek, a tidal creek bordering Palmetto Island County Park, expanded a previously established oyster reef an additional 160 meters x 2.5 meters along the shoreline. Approximately 2,400 bushels of oyster shell were used to create 500 square meters of shell base to form a living oyster reef. This has enhanced fish habitat, reduced shoreline erosion, and improved water quality.",
