"projectDescription": "NOAA's Community-based Restoration Program, Restore America's Estuaries and Fish America Foundation partnered with Tampa Bay Watch to fund salt marsh restoration at multiple sites around Tampa Bay. High school ecology and science club students built on-campus wetland nurseries to grow salt marsh grasses for Tampa Bay restoration efforts. This program restored salt marsh at Fort Brooke near Tampa Bay, Florida. The site was restored through cooperation with the City of Tampa and the Southwest Florida Water Management District. Volunteers planted 2,500 smooth cordgrass units to restore the salt marsh and upland vegetation was incorporated into the project. The site will ultimately be used as an urban park.",
