  "projectDescription": "People for Puget Sound worked in cooperation with property owner Pat Collier to remove 63 creosote pilings and a 90 foot long bulkhead on 230 feet of Puget Sound beachfront property adjacent to a natural county park. The adjacent uplands have been revegetated with native forest species.  Since construction, the shoreline has begun to resemble adjacent shoreline and is accumulating larger amounts of driftwood. This project demonstrates alternatives to shoreline armoring which is suspected of reducing sediment supply to beaches and directly impacting forage fish spawning habitat critical to Puget Sound food webs.",
