  "projectDescription": "Hamm Creek is urban creek estuary near the mouth of the Duwamish River brought to the surface and revegetated as part of restoration by the Elliot Bay Trustees. Through the Volunteer Salmon Habitat Restoration and Monitoring Program, People for Puget Sound created a citizen stewardship effort that provides adaptive management for this and other nearshore restoration sites. Volunteers provide data on plant growth and bird use of the sites, and also identify specific needs. Through the \"site check\" monitoring, volunteers geographically identify ongoing and emerging maintenance issues on the site, and help to prioritize the stewardship actions.",
