"projectDescription": "The Fort Pickens and St. Andrews Aquatic Preserves, near Pensacola, Florida, have accumulated a high density of prop scars in seagrass beds, mainly from recreational boating. This project repaired prop scar damage and reduced future damage to the area by transplanting grass plugs from donor beds to the scarred area. The project also raised public awareness and tested methods for use with damaged seagrass beds elsewhere in Northwest Florida.",
