This project did just that by replacing water pumps and gravity drains connecting Bayou St. John to Lagoons, improving the water quality by placement of aerators and fish habitat by the placement of Christmas tree reefs, and improving fishing access by repairing the casting dock near the education center. Overall 120 acres of urban, freshwater lagoon systems was re-established.",
