"projectDescription": "The goal of the Jumbile Cove restoration project is to restore elevations necessary for intertidal marsh, protect remaining intertidal marsh, reduce upland habitat loss caused by erosion, shelter lagoon and open water, and improve water quality. Funding from the NOAA Fisheries Restoration Center is being used to support phase II of this restoration project. Sandy material has been dredged and placed into shallow open water, restoring elevations necessary to support emergent marsh grasses and other marsh vegetation. 61 marsh mounds, comprising 48 acres of marsh-open water complex, have been created in addition to the 40 acres created by phase one of the project.",
