  "projectDescription": "The project reshaped the beach face on the south shore of the Pattersquash Creek, a tributary to Narrow Bay located on the south shore of Long Island by adding clean fill around the remnant clumps of intertidal and high tide wetland peat mat and plants. Coconut fiber mats and fiber \"logs\", known as biologs, have been placed on the fill, and the mats and logs planted with saltmarsh cordgrass. Native salt marsh vegetation have also been grown by the area's students in classroom nurseries and planted by volunteers to further stabilize the shoreline.",
