"projectDescription": "The goal of the Dennys River Watershed no point source (NPS) Site Restoration Project was to correct all identified NPS sites in the entire watershed. This benefited not only the endangered Atlantic Salmon, but brook trout, small mouth bass, and overall water quality. There are approximately 30 sites needing restoration throughout the watershed, all but two were addressed by volunteers and local contractors. Complementing this restoration plan, the Maine Atlantic Salmon Commission is completing negotiations to purchase a 1000 ft buffer on each side of the Dennys River and its principle tributary.",
