"projectDescription": "The Octoraro Creek \"rubble dam\" at the confluence of Octoraro Creek and the Susquehanna River in northeastern Maryland blocked access to prime spawning habitat for both resident and anadromous fish species. The dam was removed and the material was placed along the shoreline as local armoring. Twenty miles of stream were restored and opened spawning and rearing habitat for alewife, blueback herring, hickory shad, and possibly American shad.",
