"projectDescription": "As part of three sites in the Willapa Bay watershed, the first phase of the restoration project along the stretch of Mill Pond Creek focused on in-stream enhancements to re-create the natural conditions of the stream channel. The project installed protective fencing along 800 feet of stream channel and increased the density of a previously planted buffer along the newly fenced area, protecting three acres and restoring one acre of habitat. The goal of the second phase is to further enhance habitat for migratory fish by completing the restoration of the riparian zone. The riparian area will be planted with native materials and fencing will be installed along the stream channel.",
