"projectDescription": "The Argilla Road salt marsh is the largest contiguous salt marsh north of Long Island Sound. For many years a small 32-inch cross connection culvert at Argilla Road restricted the natural tidal flushing of approximately 20 acres of the marsh. The undersized culvert was replaced in November 1998 with a 5-foot by 8-foot concrete box culvert, increasing the mean-high-water level in 15 acres of the previously restricted marsh.",
