  "projectDescription": "This project re-established an ecologically and commercially important oyster bed in the Oyster River in Old Saybrook, CT.Approximately 50,000 oysters were planted in October 2002 at three protected sites in the river. Monitoring began in spring 2003 to determine winter survival. During summer 2003, the bottom was prepared and shell deposited for spat collection, and an additional 200,000 30mm oyster seed were planted in Fall 2003.",
