  "projectDescription": "NOAA Fisheries partnered with the Army Corp of Engineers, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the National Aquarium in Baltimore to create and monitor four acres of tidal wetland at the Eastern Neck Wildlife Refuge near the mouth of the Chester River, a tributary to the Chesapeake Bay. The project represented a unique opportunity to restore fish habitat using a community-based approach and a technology, the beneficial use of dredge material, that could have broad application in the Chesapeake Bay. Volunteers were involved in both the planting and the monitoring of the wetland site.",
