  "projectDescription": "With funding provided by the NOAA Restoration Center, US Fish and Wildlife Service, Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Natural Resource Conservation Service, Alaska Department of Natural Resources, and the Matanuska-Susitna Borough, approximately 5,500 square feet of stream bank and 3,750 square feet of wetlands were restored and replanted with native vegetation along Willow Creek, Alaska. Heavy fishing pressures and excessive foot traffic along the stream banks had caused bank erosion and loss of vegetation. After the restoration, 360 feet of boardwalk was installed giving anglers a chance to continue fishing without harming the restored stream bank. Students from Meadow Lakes elementary school and Wasilla High School participated in the restoration.",
