  "projectDescription": "This Donkey Creek tributary is a spring fed stream that flows from north to south within the Clearwater River sub-watershed of the Queets River Basin. It originates from ground fed springs upstream from the culvert barrier on WA DNR managed lands. The confluence with Donkey Creek is just downstream from the project site, and then Donkey Creek flows approximately 0.4 miles to the Clearwater River. Upstream from the culvert barrier is a one acre spring fed pond that was restored through a Salmonid Screening Habitat Enhancement and Restoration (SSHEAR) program due to excellent water quality, vicinity within the Clearwater River floodplain, and rearing habitat quality for coho salmon. The barrier is a 0.91 meter precast concrete culvert and a depth and water surface drop barrier. There are no other known barriers on this stream network. This is the top-ranking county road barrier site in the Queets/Clearwater region, and WDFW and Quinault Indian Nation are supportive of this project.",
