  "projectDescription": "The City of Bellingham transportation infrastructure has resulted in stream crossings where anadromous fish cannot swim upstream. This funding action supports the Nooksack Indian Tribe and the City of Bellingham to 1) assess fish passage at a set of culverts, 2) complete a public planning process to prioritize improvement, and 3) complete conceptual design work (~30%) at a set of high-priority culverts. NOAA is the federal lead for this action. This planning effort will evaluate the four coastal streams which drain to Bellingham Bay in Whatcom County through the City of Bellingham.",
