"projectDescription": "The work that will occur on the Lochsloy Floodplain Restoration project includes removing or modifying up to 2,000 feet of levee and bank armoring, protect and reconnect up to 70 acres of floodplain habitat, connect up to 2,500 feet of channel, enhance up to 0.8 miles of instream habitat with the installation of up to 10 large woody debris structures, and enhance up to 6 acres of riparian habitat. This work is necessary to connect wetlands and off- channel habitat, increase flood storage, improve riparian conditions, enhance in-stream habitat, and improve water quality to benefit Chinook salmon. The cost estimate for this restoration project was developed by the Tulalip Tribes’ engineering design consultants and best professional judgment based on professional experience with similar restoration projects completed in the past.",
