  "projectDescription": "Research using state-of-the-art GPS equipment and data loggers (Argos-linked GPS and time-depth-temperature data loggers) was coupled with an ongoing project entitled, \"Calibrating Manatee Aerial Survey Counts at Tampa Bay Power Plants in Winter.\"   The primary objective of this study was to obtain detailed information on manatee movements around Tampa Bay power plants that allows researchers and natural resource managers to understand how manatees are using these warm-water sites.  Identification of these important habitats is critical to the long term protection and conservation of manatees and their habitats.",
