  "projectDescription": "The proposed Upper Klamath River Tributary Post Dam Removal Salmonid Restoration project focuses on salmonid habitat restoration work in key cold water tributary watersheds that are currently cut off from anadromous populations by Iron Gate, Copco 1 & 2, and JC Boyle dams. The removal of these four Klamath dams is a historic and massive undertaking that presents ample opportunities for restoration of the currently disconnected tributaries. The proposed project is scheduled to occur immediately following removal of the dams, creating ideal timing for this unprecedented opportunity for restoration. The Klamath River watershed and its tributaries are sacred to the tribal communities of the Klamath Basin.The Yurok Tribe will restore two floodplains within the Jenny Creek watershed. Jenny Creek is limited in spawning gravels and is largely composed of large boulders and bedrock. Large Woody Debris (LWD) could help activate some of the side channels in this section and help to collect spawning gravels. At the Iron Gate Reservoir confluence they will add LWD and reconfigure parking lot near the confluence with the reservoir to allow for floodplain processes to occur. 3400 feet upstream of the confluence with the Klamath River they will add LWD for habitat complexity and to reconnect the floodplain",
