"projectDescription": "Tulalip Tribes is working with two separate landowners and contractors to replace two barrier culverts. These barriers are the most downstream barriers on a tributary to Lake Beecher, an old oxbow of the Snohomish River, which is characterized by high salmon production. Adult Coho were observed in the fall of 2021 trying to cross upstream of the impassable barriers to access habitat. The project will replace deficient infrastructure with two bridges, pull the creek away from Elliott Road, address invasive species, provide sufficient passage for aquatic species, and increase habitat complexity using woody debris.",
