Efforts include removing a dam, conducting an alternatives analysis to provide fish passage at another dam, and replacing several culverts to reopen access to more than 40 miles of habitat. This work will also support local communities by reducing the risk of flooding and helping improve response to wildfires. Environmental education is a component in many of the projects.",
