  "projectDescription": "Along with Phase I of this effort, Phase II of this project had the objective of increasing the life span of East Timbalier Island.  Funds were grouped together for these two phases to mine almost 3 million cubic yards of sediment from bay areas near East Timbalier Island and placed them onto the island at marsh elevations.  In order to stabilize this sediment addition, sand fences, vegetative plantings, and 9,000 linear feet of erosion control structures were added to the project area.",
