It is currently the fourth highest priority dam overall in the Chesapeake Bay watershed and classified as a Tier 1 priority for Chesapeake Bay-wide anadromous species prioritization according the Chesapeake Fish Passage Prioritization Tool.   The Rapidan Dam is located on the Rapidan River in Culpeper County and Orange County, VA and is a tributary to the Rappahannock River.",
