  "projectDescription": "This is one of several projects Trout Unlimited and Partners, including the Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, will carry out  in the Beartrap-Nemadji watershed with individual barrier removal projects in the Little Bois Brule River and Red Cliff Creek-Frontal Lake Superior watersheds. The Brule River is renowned for its lake run species and brook trout migration has been recorded from Lake Superior into Chicago Creek. The proposed projects are the furthest known downstream barriers in each watershed. Furthermore, two of the proposed implementation projects (Sandy Run and Chicago Creeks) are the only known barriers in each stream system. Removing this barrier on Chicago Creek will allow brook trout trying to migrate from Lake Superior to access over a mile of habitat in the creek. Funding for the Chicago Creek project is for design only.",
