  "projectDescription": "Mote Marine Laboratory will restore coral reef habitat at multiple sites in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. The three additional reef sites in this project are complementary in habitat and region to reefs associated with the Mission: Iconic Reefs effort. Over five years, Mote will propagate and outplant thousands of coral fragments of multiple species, including Endangered Species Act-listed staghorn and elkhorn corals, as well as massive reef-building corals. The project will also significantly increase the production and restocking of Caribbean king crab by addressing current bottlenecks in the production and enhancement of algae grazers, which provide a critical service to coral reef health.",
