Off-channel habitat provides a place for juvenile salmon to mature before they enter the open ocean. The project will reconnect 3 acres of tidal wetland and 0.2 miles of instream channel for fish passage. This project is one of several that the Wild Salmon Center is implementing as part of a strategic, collaborative approach to Southern Oregon/Northern California Coast coho and Oregon Coast coho salmon recovery.",
