  "projectDescription": "The U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Planning and Natural Resources, in partnership with Virgin Islands Conservation Society, will expand their Residential Erosion Control Initiative. This initiative helps homeowners manage stormwater runoff and erosion on their properties to reduce land-based sources of pollution that threaten the health of nearby coral reef habitats. This project will include site assessments, conceptual designs, and installation of practices to manage stormwater and erosion. It will also include education and outreach to build capacity to access resources through the program. Collectively, these efforts will increase the USVI’s capacity to understand and deal with the increasing impacts of climate change on coastal communities while protecting valuable coral reef habitat.",
