  "projectDescription": "The Nature Conservancy will restore habitat in the Betty and Crawford Rainwater Preserve which was degraded by logging. The preserve contains more than 7.5-river miles and 2,648 acres of habitat along Florida’s western border. The project will help restore natural water flow and allow the return of plant and animal species typically found in longleaf and coastal pine savannahs. Restoration will also include invasive species removal. This is project is part of the Perdido Watershed Habitat and Community Resilience Initiative which aims to enhance climate resilience in Alabama and Florida and help communities prioritize, plan, and implement nature-based solutions to climate change.",
