These reef frameworks will serve as coral nurseries, eventually becoming natural coral reefs. This work will benefit the coral reef ecosystem and the many species these habitats support. By enhancing the ecological resilience of Waikiki coral reefs, the project will also increase the socioeconomic resilience of the local communities that depend on them.",
