"projectDescription": "The Salmon River Restoration Council will develop final designs and permitting to restore habitat in Nordheimer, Methodist, and Knownothing Creeks, three tributaries of the Salmon River in the Klamath Basin. All three tributaries provide important habitat for threatened Southern Oregon Northern California Coast coho and spring-run Chinook salmon. SRRC is the largest employer in the area, which includes the remote rural communities of Sawyers Bar, Forks of Salmon, Cecilville, and Somes Bar, California. The project will support staff, formal education, and on-the-job training opportunities as design and permitting work progress. The restoration sites are located in the ancestral territory of the Karuk Tribe, and The Karuk Tribe Watershed Branch will provide direct input throughout all levels of project planning, design, and review.",
