Through this project, the river will be reconnected to its entire 140-acre floodplain and 1.84 miles of anabranching river channels will be added to the reach. This project will  increase tribal salmon harvests, reduce flooding, increase recreational opportunities, and provide long-term economic opportunities in the underserved community of Quilcene.",
