Removal of the 55-foot tall, 425-foot long rock fill embankment dam restored access to 6.5 miles of highly productive habitat, benefitting native fish and other aquatic species. The project also restored a gravel bedded stream with extensive wood downstream of the dam through a one-mile reach that had been stripped to bedrock, with very low habitat value.",
