The licensee consulted with the resource agencies during the design process. The construction project was completed in 2021. Any juvenile eel (these fish arey typically around 2 to 4 inches long) now has access to a fishway that is designed for this species and lifestage.  The eelway is a sloped ramp with a special type of bottom that helps these animals migrate from below the dam and into the dam's headpond.  By installing this eelway, the licensee is mitigating its project impact for this species.",
