  "projectDescription": "The project involves the removal of two undersized and blocked culverts in Willow Creek which traverses Willow Creek Preserve, a 143-acre former dairy farm which was acquired by Glacial Lakes Conservancy through funding provided by the Sheboygan River and Harbor NRDA settlement.  The project included the removal of a 57\" X 38\" elliptical and a 40\" diameter culvert, which impeded salmonid and trout species from successfully reaching upstream spawning habitat, especially during times of low water levels.  This work was completed with other funding. Other fish passage and stream restoration work is proposed with settlement funds on this property including the connection of a spring fed oxbow and tributary to Willow Creek. This work is being planned by GLC and their consultants with construction tentatively scheduled for summer 2025.  As part of a land management plan, invasive plants are also being removed and controlled on the Preserve property.",
