  "projectDescription": "The Indian Creek Natural Resource Restoration and Conservation project (\"Indian Creek) will restore, enhance, and preserve several types of habitats endemic to the Lower Cape Fear region along 1.75 miles of Indian Creek, a tributary of the Cape Fear River. Over 130 acres of high-quality tidal freshwater marsh and tidal cypress-gumswamp and 40 acres of upland buffers along Indian Creek and Moll’s Branch will be protected in perpetuity along this corridor through conservation instruments. Restoration along Moll's Creek includes roadbed removal, bank stabilization and native species planting. The project also includes public access components such as improvements to an existing boat ramp and the installation of a fixed pier alongside the ramp.The Indian Creek project is one of ten projects included in Phase 1 Restoration for the Kerr-McGee Chemical Corp NRDA case in Navassa, North Carolina.",
