"projectDescription": "The Project is located on Albion River and North Fork Albion River, located in Mendocino County. The Project starts approximately 3,700 feet downstream from the confluence with the Albion River and North Fork Albion River and continues up the North Fork Albion River approximately 11,450 feet. The specific objective of this project was to promote deposition of coarse sediment to create an alluvial channel bed through the mainstem Albion River and North Fork Albion River project reaches through the implementation of designed large wood structures. The project designs met the wood loading densities identified in the Central California Coast (CCC) Coho salmon recovery plan for treated river segments. On April 18th, 2024, TU submitted a grant application to CDFW's Fisheries Restoration Grant Program to apply for implementation funding. When implemented, accomplishments (acres restored) will be recorded.",
