"projectDescription": "Save the Bay, with support from the NOAA partnership with Restore America's Estuaries, recruited community partners to evaluate the potential for the enhancement and restoration of fish runs as well as salt, brackish, and freshwater tidal marshes in the Palmer and Tauton Rivers in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. The wetlands of the Palmer River system represent the largest salt and brackish wetland complex in Narragansett Bay, consisting of over 300 acres of salt and brackish marsh habitat. Save the Bay plans to advocate for a restoration plan for the upper Palmer River, recruit local partners to plan restoration activities, and evaluate the potential for restoring the Barneyville Dike salt marsh as well as evaluating potential fish passage at Bad Luck Brook and Shad Factory Pond.",
