  "projectDescription": "The Coos Watershed Association worked with partners to restore tidal inundation and habitat quality to approximately 11 acres of estuarine habitat. The goals of the project were achieved by removing a levee, creating channels and other habitat features in the reconnected habitat, and restoring native vegetation. The project included construction of a setback levee, which will protect neighboring properties from tidal inundation. Restoring this site provides a refuge from high velocities and offer critical rearing habitat, cover from predators, and a transition zone allowing self-regulated salinity exposure for ESA listed Oregon Coast coho and other fish migrating down the Millicoma and South Fork Coos Rivers.",
