  "projectDescription": "A total of 40 structures and 96 pieces of large wood were installed in Hayworth Creek using the accelerated recruitment approach. Instream structure was provided by falling standing timber into or near the creek and placing instream with rubber-tired skidder and/or backhoe. Additional structure is also provided by placing appropriately sized salvaged or stockpiled logs and rootwads with equipment, as appropriate. Due to the conditions of this project reach, this project exhumed several whole trees with rootwads attached for channel installation. This work was completed with an excavator. Most project logs were intentionally wedged into existing riparian vegetation with the intent to minimize downstream movement while providing a collection point for additional project wood or pre-existing instream wood.",
