"projectDescription": "Trout Unlimited looked to restore several sites in  Mendocino County, California on legacy timber lands to benefit several listed and managed species. The forested landscapes in Northern California have been subjected to landscape level disturbances typically associated with industrial scale logging operations, and these disturbances have contributed to the decline of Pacific salmonid populations. Through the North Fork Navarro River Instream Habitat Enhancement, Phase II project Trout Unlimited and partners treated 0.85 stream miles of the River with 33 whole trees and large logs at 10 sites in the Navarro River watershed to create habitat for Central California Coast (CCC) coho salmon and Northern California (NC) steelhead trout. This project builds off of Phase I which was implemented in 2015-16.",
