  "projectDescription": "This project will remove hatchery infrastructure on Barnaby Slough to restore fish passage and natural flow conditions to a large floodplain channel andimplement a package of culvert projects along Martin Road that will restore fish passage and reduce flooding problems for residents in that area.  The existing conditions prevent fish from accessing important off-channel rearing and spawning areas. This has resulted in a significant loss of habitat forChinook salmon and steelhead, which are considered threatened under the Endangered Species Act (ESA), and coho and chum salmon that are also in decline.",
