  "projectDescription": "This project explored the optimum habitat and size for release and grow-out of Diadema antillarum.  Teams introduced wild and lab-reared Diadema to coral reef sites selected based on low coral coverage and high algal coverage.  It was anticipated that the Diadema would  then graze on the algae, thus providing increased area for new coral recruits.  TNC staff and volunteers monitored Diadema survivability and changes to the benthic community caused by Diadema grazing.  Grazed-down substrate was also seeded with cultured coral larvae in order to enhance coral recruitment.",
