"projectDescription": "Chalk Point Oil spill settlement funds were used to construct an access pier at Jefferson Patterson Park in St. Leonard, MD on the Patuxent River. The pier is approximately 140 feet long with a short ‘T’ on the end, in the same place and orientation as the former pier. The pier can accommodate about four vessels up to about 40 feet long. There is an approximately 340-foot boardwalk to connect the pier to existing trails, with both the boardwalk and pier designed to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards. The project replaced two earlier proposed and approved projects that were not able to be implemented.",
