  "projectDescription": "This project installed 182 in-stream large woody debris (LWD) structures along ~11 miles of West Evans Creek. These large wood additions will increase the quality and quantity of critical summer and winter rearing habitat for juvenile Oregon coast coho salmon, improve migration and spawning habitat for adult salmon, increase macroinvertebrate populations, increase stream channel complexity, increase the accrual and retention of spawning gravels and improve riparian health. Excessive sedimentation due to timber harvest and off highway vehicle use contributes to the decline in the Oregon Coast coho population in this watershed.",
