  "projectDescription": "Trout Unlimited and the Tillamook Estuary Partnership restored fish passage to 6.2 miles of Peterson Creek by replacing an undersized culvert with a bridge. Construction was completed in 2020. In addition, completion of the project will restore natural stream processes that have been impaired by the undersized structure. The project will benefit ESA listed Oregon Coast coho salmon, Chinook salmon, steelhead, chum salmon, and cutthroat trout.This project is one of six projects that were part of a larger award called the Salmon Super Highway, which restored fish passage to a total of 15.3 miles of habitat in the Tillamook and Nestucca watersheds by removing six barriers. All of these barriers inhibited natural stream processes and fish migration for ESA listed threatened Oregon Coast coho, Chinook, and chum salmon, steelhead and cutthroat trout, and several lamprey species.",
