  "projectDescription": "The Upper Nehalem Watershed Council partnered with the Wild Salmon Center to treat a total of 5.9 miles at 62 sites in 4 different stream reaches within designated high priority sub-basins of the Upper Nehalem watershed. The large wood placement was designed to address the depletion of salmon rearing and refuge habitat that at one time provided exceptional production potential for Oregon Coast Coho salmon. The project provided the foundational wood structure at sites which were chosen to emulate the legacy anchor sites within each drainage, such as broad floodplains, low terraces, and low to moderate gradient stream stretches.",
